FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

FORT WORTH SYMPHYONY ORCHESTRA PERFORMS FREE CONCERT IN MARTIN HALL SEPTEMBER 10

Texas Wesleyan University welcomes the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, under the music direction of Miguel Harth-Bedoya and guest conductor Bruno Cinquegrani, in concert at 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 10, in Martin Hall. The performance is free and open to the public. No reservations are required.

Each season, the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, in partnership with the Neighborhood Arts Program and the Arts Council of Fort Worth and Tarrant County, performs free outreach concerts at schools, churches and community centers throughout Fort Worth. These concerts are designed to bridge the arts and communities where cultural resources might be limited. Free community concerts at area churches and community centers bring great music to families and neighborhoods throughout the Metroplex. Program selections are designed for all ages, and families are especially welcome to attend.

Presented by Texas Wesleyan University and the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra Association, this free community performance is funded by the Neighborhood Arts Program – an outreach of the Arts Council of Fort Worth and Tarrant County – and is made possible in part by grants from the City of Fort Worth and the Texas Commission on the Arts. Additional support is provided by Bank of America and the Star-Telegram.

Martin Hall was renovated with a gift from Nicholas and Louella Martin and reopened in October 2002. Now, the 600-seat hall is the music department’s premier performance space, hosting concerts, recitals and university and community events. Martin Hall is located at 1309 Wesleyan St. at the northeast corner of Rosedale and Wesleyan streets on the Texas Wesleyan University historic campus in east Fort Worth. Free parking is available on campus.
