  2. MCO 1303 Writing for the Mass Media—3 hours
  3. MCO 4301 Communication Law and Ethics—3 hours
  4. MIS 2303 Introduction to Software—3 hours
Required Radio and Television courses
  1. MCO 1306 Survey of Broadcasting—3 hours
  2. MCO 2401 Audio Production—4 hours
  3. MCO 2406 Studio Television Production—4 hours
  4. MCO 3301 Radio and Television Writing—3 hours
  5. MCO 4306 Audience Analysis—3 hours
Electives
  1. 12 hours of any additional Mass Communication courses
  2. 6 hours of Management or Marketing courses

 

A minimum of 18 Mass Communication hours must be taken at Texas Wesleyan University.

There are many careers relating to radio-television/broadcasting/electronic media that include positions as a broadcasting station manager, director of broadcasting, film editor, news director, news writer, technical director, advertising sales coordinator, media buyer, actor, announcer, disc jockey, news anchor, public relations manager, comedy writer, casting director, producer, talk show host, and many more.
