Program Overview
Bella Italia: Music Travel & Enrichment is a course designed to introduce students to Italian arts, history, geography, and language. In preparation for travel, students will study Italian music (including individual and ensemble performance), art, and architecture from ancient to modern times. Students will also learn to employ basic Italian phrases for travelers. The course will culminate with a 9-day study-tour to Venice, Florence, and Rome. Highlights will include: Venice – St. Mark's Basilica, Murano Glass Factory; Florence – Galleria dell' Academia/Michaelangelo's David, Uffizzi Gallery, Ponte Vecchio; Rome – Vatican Museum, St. Peter's Basilica, sites of Ancient Rome; Italian food! [Please be aware that portions of the itinerary include boarding trains and small boats as well as walking distances on rough streets (in Venice, for example)

Program Details
Transportation
Texas Wesleyan will provide air travel for students from DFW International Airport to Venice and returning from Rome. Our travel partner will provide ground transportation in Italy throughout the Study/Tour using a touring coach or via local trains.
Housing and Meals
Housing is provided throughout at 2+ star hotels in Italy. Most breakfasts and some dinners provided.

What is Included
Air transportation, ground transportation for the itinerary, accommodations in moderate Hotel, Bed and Breakfast or Guesthouse accommodations (2 or 3 to a room with each person with a twin-size bed), breakfast and some other meals each day, sightseeing and admission fees for items included in the itinerary, emergency medical protection plan & trip cancellation insurance.
What is NOT Included
Any room upgrades or flight upgrades, tips, travel protection insurance, lost luggage insurance.
How to Apply
Apply Online and submit $100 nonrefundable deposit to the International Programs Office, Brown Lupton Building (North End), M-F from 8am-5pm.
