What are the admission requirements?
For incoming freshman students, Texas Wesleyan University requires students to have graduated from an accredited high school or equivalent program, have standardized test scores of 920 SAT or 19 ACT; have at least a 2.5 GPA, and a ranking in the top 50% of your graduating class.

Do Freshman students have to live on campus? What are the housing options?
No, freshman students do not have to live on campus. However, it is highly recommended to live in one of the residence halls, like the new Wesleyan Village, in order to be better connected with University life. Studies have found that students who live on campus actually perform better academically, too. Residence Life

Do you have to be Methodist to attend Texas Wesleyan University?
No, only about 11% of our student population is Methodist. If you are a Methodist student, we offer great scholarship opportunities for you as well as student organizations to join! Scholarship Opportunities
How many freshman go to your school?
We enroll about 200-250 new freshman students each year. We believe in personal attention and in small class settings. With a relatively small class, Texas Wesleyan University can better meet an individual student’s needs.
