1. Why should I attend Texas Wesleyan?
Texas Wesleyan is a small university with a big academic reputation! Our professors get to know you and you won't get lost in the crowd. We also have an active student life where all students can be involved.
2. Do you have my major? Undergrad and Graduate?
We have the School of Business, School of Arts & Sciences and School of Education.
Yes! We have Graduate programs in Business, Education and Psychology. We also have Texas Wesleyan School of Law and the GPNA program. See link below.

3. How do I get admitted into the university?
- Submit an application with $25 application fee and all official transcripts from colleges and/or universities attended
- Submit high school transcripts and ACT and/or SAT scores if you have under 30 transferable hours.
- Texas Wesleyan University requires all transcripts of attended colleges/universities, even if courses from another college/university are listed on the transcript of the college/university you are currently attending.
Transfer students must have an overall 2.0 GPA to be considered for acceptance into the university.
Student applicants that are 25 years of age or older are not required to provide ACT or SAT results for admission.
(Please not that Texas Wesleyan University honors the academic suspensions and financial holds of other colleges/universities. Credit for courses and admittance will be subject to these terms.)
4.What if I have already attended Texas Wesleyan University?
Former Texas Wesleyan students who have not been enrolled for two or more consecutive semesters do the Texas Wesleyan 3-Step:
- Fill out transfer application
- Turn in all official transcripts
- Meet with advisor and register
5. What is the process after I am accepted? and/ or What do I do after I have been accepted?
- Counselor contacts student regarding status
- Acceptance packet mailed to student
- Student should sign and return all necessary documents
- Attend a transfer orientation
- Take any necessary placement exams
- Meet with your advisor who must sign your course schedule
- Register for classes
- Meet with financial aid (turn in FAFSA application - the school code is 3645)
- Attend classes
6. How do my classes transfer?
We recommend that you obtain a copy of all your college transcripts and set an appointment with a Transfer Counselor who will complete an evaluation of your credits.
We review your transcripts and input that information on an Advising Worksheet. This form has each students personal classes applied to their desired degree plan. It lets a student know what transfers and what is needed to complete their degree and graduate from Texas Wesleyan University.
7. What is tuition?
$14,616 annually for the 2007-2008 academic year. The Tuition for the 2008-2009 academic year will be set by the Board of Trustees in April. For the most updated information go to Financial Aid .
8. Are there any scholarships?
We have Athletic, Methodist, Alumni and Fine Art Scholarships.
Students with a 2.5 GPA and up can earn an academic scholarship.

There are 2,939 students currently enrolled at Texas Wesleyan University (1,700 undergraduate students). The student to faculty ration is 15:1.
