Mission

The School of Arts and Letters integrates the liberal arts, the visual and performing arts, with professional and career preparation at the undergraduate level. The Pre-Professional Program offers encouragement and support for students studying for graduate and professional school.  The School of Arts and Letters includes the departments of Communication, Humanities, Languages and Literature, Music, Religion and Philosophy, and Theatre.

Through a wide variety of general education and major courses the School of Arts and Letters creates a learning environment where the student is provided an opportunity to pursue individual excellence, to think clearly and creatively, and to communicate effectively.  The Arts and Letters faculty is dedicated to the development of each student to her or his full potential as an individual and a member of the world community.
