     MARSHALL, Texas -
Freshman Loren Clark tallied two goals to lead Texas Wesleyan past East Texas Baptist, 2-0, Wednesday afternoon in non-conference action.

Texas Wesleyan (6-4-1) opened the scoring in the 49th minute when Clark received a through ball from freshman Stefanie Blowers and beat the goalkeeper one-on-one to put the Lady Rams up 1-0. Clark struck again when she scored on a similar play in the 73rd minute. Sophomore Nicole Richardson assisted on the play.

"This was one of the best possession games the girls played all season," head coach Steve Jones said. "We executed brilliantly. This was a great all-around effort against a good team."

Texas Wesleyan outshot East Texas Baptist, 19-9. Richardson led the Lady Rams with six shots, while Clark added three. Junior goalkeeper Jennifer Arellano tallied four saves, while freshman Holly Rowland chipped in with two saves.

Texas Wesleyan returns to action Saturday when they travel to take on Sooner-Conference member Oklahoma City. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. The Lady Rams upset the Stars, 1-0, in Fort Worth last season.
