     FORT WORTH, Texas - Junior Jose Melendez scored two goals to lead Texas Wesleyan over Bacone College, 3-1, Saturday afternoon at Martin Field in Red River Athletic Conference action.

     Bacone College (1-11-1, 0-3 RRAC) opened the scoring in the 50th minute when Andrew Starr score to put the Warriors ahead, 1-0.

     Texas Wesleyan (5-7-1, 4-1 RRAC) fought back just three minutes later when sophomore Ryan Landers scored on a pass from freshman Jacob Halliday. Melendez then added his eight and ninth goals of the season on assists from junior Travis Mauldin and sophomore Austin Salles.

     Texas Wesleyan returns to action Friday when they travel to take on conference-rival College of the Southwest. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m.
