FORT WORTH, Texas - Texas Wesleyan
used a balanced attack with five players having five or more kills
to defeat UT-Dallas, 3-0, Thursday evening at the Sid Richardson
Gymnasium.
Texas Wesleyan (25-3) dominated the
Lady Comets, 30-10, 30-14, 30-13, for its 12th straight victory.
Senior Nicky Davis led the Lady Rams
with nine kills and was second on the team with five assists. Senior
Cortney Johansen led Texas Wesleyan with 20 assists, while junior
Susan Taylor led all players with 10 digs.
The Lady Rams finished the evening
with a team hitting percentage of .295, while UT-Dallas finished
with a -.147 hitting percentage.
The Lady Rams will be back in action
Saturday when they travel to take on Sooner-conference member, Southern
Nazarene. First serve is set for 3 p.m. in Bethany, Okla. Texas
Wesleyan defeated Southern Nazarene, 3-0, on Sept. 14, and hold
an all-time 8-0 record against the Crimson Storm.
