NAIA National Championship Complete Bracket
OLATHE, Kan. - The Texas Wesleyan
women's basketball team will begin its first-ever trip to the NAIA
National Tournament at 8 p.m. Thursday, March 17, against #5 Freed-Hardeman
(Tenn.) University in Jackson, Tenn.
The Lady Rams are the No. 8 seed in their
quarter of the bracket, while the Lady Lions are the No. 1 seed
in the this quarter of the bracket.
Texas Wesleyan (23-10) finished the season
as the runner-up in the Red river Athletic Conference and lost in
the championship game to Houston Baptist, 88-62. Freed-Hardeman
(28-6) won both the regular season and tournament championship in
the TranSouth Athletic Conference. They defeated Union (Tenn.) in
the conference championship game, 88-82 in overtime. The Lady Lions
have been ranked in the Top-10 all season long. Freed Hardeman advanced
to the quarterfinals of last year's tournament before bowing out
to Houston Baptist.
Texas Wesleyan's opening-round matchup
is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m., Thursday, March 17 at Oman Arena.
