IZMIR, Turkey - Texas Wesleyan senior Ben Hunt has helped lead Australia to a 2-1 record in pool play during the first weekend of the World University Games.

     The 6-3 guard has averaged 11 points, 2.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists a game for Australia.

     The Aussies defeated Lebanon, 99-69 on Friday, with Hunt registering four points and two assists off of the bench. Hunt led the team in scoring with 20 points in an 80-72 victory over Great Britain on Saturday. He was 7-of-10 from the field and 5-of-6 from behind the arc. He also finished with four rebounds and four assists. The Australian team lost on Sunday to pool-leader Lithuania, 68-65. Hunt tallied nine points and three rebounds off of the bench. He is also 3-of-5 from behind the arc. He is 8-of-14 (.571) from the three-point line for the tournament so far.
