Fort Worth, Oct. 1— Texas Wesleyan University freshman Jessica Carrion, a forward on the Lady Rams soccer team, was selected as the Red River Conference Player of the Week on Monday.

Jessica scored one goal in Wesleyan’s 4-0 victory over UT-Tyler at Martin Field on Wednesday, then torched UT-Permian Basin for three goals and an assist as the Lady Rams cruised to a 5-0 victory in Odessa on Sunday.

Jessica, an exercise and sport studies major, is a native of California, but moved to Fort Worth during her freshman year of high school. She graduated from Western Hills in May.
