Box Score

     FORT WORTH, Texas. -
Sophomore Rachel Loftin tallied 13 kills to help lead Texas Wesleyan past Southern Nazarene, 30-16, 30-15, 30-17, Thursday evening at the Sid Richardson Gymnasium.

Texas Wesleyan (21-4) took the first two games with ease as junior Cortney Johansen dished out 16 and 12 assists respectively.

Southern Nazarene (19-13) held close in game three, trailing only 12-10, but Loftin took over and posted five kills to finish off the match.

"I thought we hit the ball good as a team tonight," head coach Rick Johansen said. "I thought Jocelyn stepped up for us tonight. With the injury to Nicky (Davis) she filled the position well."

Jocelyn Gaudi finished the evening with eight kills and three assists. Johansen dished out 39 assists, while junior Tiffany Porterfield tallied 10 kills.

Texas Wesleyan returns to action Saturday when they travel to take on conference-foe Texas A&M-International at 11 a.m.
