     HOUSTON, Texas -
The Texas Wesleyan softball team lost both games of a doubleheader in conference play to No.3 ranked Houston Baptist on Friday afternoon at Lady Husky Field. The Lady Rams struggled offensively against superb pitching by the Lady Huskies, losing both games by virtue of run-rule, 8-0 and 11-0.

In game one, Lady Ram Tara Sharp (6-6) went six innings, giving up eight runs on 16 hits while walking three batters. Sharp gave up a three-run homerun in the first inning to Lady Husky, Morgan Anderson. Sharp also gave up a two-run homerun to Katleyn Griffin in the bottom of the sixth that led Houston Baptist (33-3, 10-0 RRAC) to a run-rule victory.

In game two, starting pitcher Rachel Lamont (4-4) went 2.1 innings allowing 10 runs on six hits while walking four and striking out one batter. Maria Morones relieved Lamont after the Lady Huskies posted an 11-run third inning. Three homeruns were allowed in that inning as Houston Baptist slapped nine hits.

Texas Wesleyan (15-16, 5-5 RRAC) could only manage one hit in their 8-0 loss in the first game, and scattered three hits in the five inning, second game loss.

The Lady Rams will be back in action Wednesday when host Texas Women's University. The doubleheader is scheduled for 3 p.m.
