SHARP NAMED RRAC P.O.W.

WACO, TX:  Tara Sharp of Texas Wesleyan University was recognized as the Red River Athletic Conference Softball Player of the Week for Feb. 20-26.

Sharp, a junior outfielder from Lakeworth, Texas, went 5-for-10 at the plate as the Lady Rams dropped all four games in a pair of double-headers last week. Sharp was 3-for-4 with a double, home run and four RBI in a 7-6 loss to Texas Women’s University. And she was 2-for-3 with a solo home run in a 9-5 loss to St. Edward’s University (Texas). She also stole two bases in two attempts.

After a sweep of Texas College today, Texas Wesleyan sits at 2-6 on the season and 2-0 in the Red River Athletic Conference.
