MUSKOGEE, OK: The Texas Wesleyan University softball team (4-6, 4-0 RRAC) swept a doubleheader at Bacone College (3-3, 3-3) on Saturday. The Lady Rams pounded out 26 hits on the day and took game one 16-3 and game two 18-3.
In game one, Devin Blew (2-1) earned the win by tossing five innings and allowing three runs on four hits while striking out three and walking none.
Tara Sharp led the Rams at the plate going 2-3 with two runs scored, 3 RBI, and a home run.
In game two, Sharp (2-1) got it done on the mound as well as at the plate. The junior right-hander tossed five innings and allowed three runs on four hits, while striking out two and walking none to earn the win.
At the plate, Sharp went 2-3 with two runs scored, 4 RBI, and a grand slam. Rachel Hampton also went 2-3 at the plate, adding three runs scored and five RBI.
The Lady Rams return to action on Sunday when they take on Rogers State University in Claremore, OK. Game one of that doubleheader is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m.
