FORT WORTH, TX:  The Texas Wesleyan University women’s soccer team (10-4) got back in the win column with a 2-0 shutout of the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma Drovers on Saturday.

With 9:11 remaining in the first half, Shannah Bohon played a ball to Daniell Parks on the right side.  Parks found the left side of the net for her first goal of the season.  Nicole Richardson found the net just over six minutes into the second half to give the Rams a 2-0 lead.

Kara Liakos would make that lead stand up as she recorded five saves in her second shutout of the season.

“The girls played well today,” said Head Coach Steve Jones.  “We gave ourselves opportunities to burry them and could not, but I felt that we outplayed a good team today.”

The Lady Rams will return to action on Friday when they host College of the Southwest who leads the Rams by just one win in the RRAC standings.  That game is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. and will be followed by a men’s game.
