RAMS vs. LIONS RESET FOR THURSDAY
January 23, 2007

FORT WORTH, TX:  The Texas Wesleyan University men’s and women’s basketball teams will travel back to Langston, OK, on Thursday, January 25, to take on Langston University.  Another postponed contest at Bacone College has been rescheduled for February 7.

Because each of their last four games have been postponed, Texas Wesleyan’s schedule will now be fast and furious with the men playing 14 games and the Lady Rams playing 15 games in the final 33 days of the regular season.

The Rams stand at 11-3 overall and 4-0 in Red River Athletic Conference play this season.  They are currently ranked 6th in the nation with the next NAIA Poll scheduled to be released on Wednesday.

The Rams trail the all-time series with Langston 5-4; however, they took an 89-70 win in Fort Worth in their last meeting a season ago.  Langston stands at 8-4 overall and trails only Texas Wesleyan in the RRAC standings with a record of 6-1.

The Lady Rams hold a 4-10 overall record, but stand at 2-2 in conference play.  The Lady Lions also hold a narrow lead in the all-time series, 7-6, after winning last season’s contest.  The Lady Lions are currently ranked 20th nationally with an overall record 15-3 and an unblemished 7-0 record in conference play.

The Lady Rams are scheduled to tip-off Thursday at 5:30 p.m. with the men’s game to follow at 7:30 p.m.
