ARKADELPHIA, AR:  The Texas Wesleyan University Softball team (0-4) dropped the opening doubleheader of a four game set at Henderson State University (2-0) on Friday.  The Diamond Reddies took game one 5-2 and game two 7-3.

In game one, the Reddies put the Rams in a 2-0 hole in the first inning.  Texas Wesleyan got on the board in the third, but Henderson state made it 3-1 in the bottom of the frame.  The Lady Rams closed to within two in the sixth, but again the Reddies answered in the bottom of the inning.

Tara Sharp (0-1) took the loss after allowing four runs in five innings pitched and striking out three.  Katie Korbel (1-0) took the win.

In game two, the Rams took a 2-0 lead in the third inning, but Henderson responded by tying the game in the bottom of the inning.  The Reddies took the lead for good with a pair of runs in the fifth.

Michelle Jones (0-2) was tagged with the loss after allowing four runs in five innings while striking out two.  Jackie Darnstaedt (1-0) earned the win for Henderson State.

Ariel Raley wrapped up a 4-for-4 day with a pair of hits in game two.  Rachel Hampton also had a pair of hits on the day.
