RAMS IN EIGHTH AFTER ONE ROUND

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK:  The Texas Wesleyan University golf team sits in eighth place after one round at the 2007 Sleep Inn & Suites Classic at River Oaks Country Club.  The field of 18 teams finished one round after a rain delay this morning.

Play continued in the rain throughout the morning.  The second round was started, but suspended until tomorrow.

Wayland Baptist leads the field with a round of 282, with hosting Oklahoma Christian University one shot back at 283.  The Rams sit in a tie for eighth at 300.

Ryan Stephens led the Rams with a card of 73 and sits eight shots out of a foursome that leads the field at three-under par 68.  Kevin Doskocil and Justin Smith are tied for 33rd at 75.  Dan Hahn shot 77 and Mitch Hendon 80 to round out Texas Wesleyan’s card.

The second round will resume with a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m. with the third and final round to follow.
