Diaz, a senior third baseman from Fort Worth, TX, drove in nine runs and scored nine times in a 7-1 week for the 15th ranked Rams. He finished the week on a 13-for-20 clip, accounting for at least one RBI in each of his last seven games. In a three-game series with Southwestern Assemblies of God University (TX) this weekend, he racked up seven hits, scored six times and drove in five runs. In addition, he was 9-for-11 in stolen base attempts for the week. Texas Wesleyan remained unbeaten in conference play at 12-0 and lifted its overall record to 32-6. Majewski, a junior outfielder from Brenham, TXs, was 13-for-23 hitting in a 4-2 week for the Huskies. HBU is second in the RRAC South Division at 7-3 with a record of 28-15 on the season. |
FORT WORTH, TX: For the second time this season Texas Wesleyan University’s Jason Diaz has been selected as Red River Athletic Conference Baseball Player of the Week.
