FORT WORTH, TX: Texas Wesleyan University head volleyball coach Christy Clawson announced today the signing of Kristen Venhuizen, a 5’11” left side hitter from Corpus Christi, TX.
Venhuizen played at McNeil High School in Corpus Christi. She also played for coach Diane Watson’s TCA 18 Black club team.
Venhuizen’s drive to win and aggressive play caught coach Clawson’s eye. “Krsten is a great addition to the returning and incoming outstide hitters. Coach Watson is a very knowledgeable coach, and, knowing the kind of training she has received, I know Kristen can come to our program and contribute as a freshman.
Kristen is the daughter of James and Karen Venhuizen.
The Lady Rams went 20-10 overall last season and have reached the NAIA’s Elite-Eight in two of the last three seasons. |
