FORT WORTH, TX: Texas Wesleyan University’s Booke McNabb has been selected to the 2007 Daktronics-NAIA Softball Scholar-Athlete team. To receive such recognition a junior or senior student-athlete must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher while excelling on the field.
McNabb, a junior first baseman and chemistry major from Fort Worth, TX, ranked third on the squad with a .307 AVG while pounding out 54 hits including 14 extra-base hits. She ranked second on the team with 13 multi-hit games and eight multi-RBI games.
The Lady Rams finished the 2007 season with a 22-34 overall record and a 12-12 RRAC mark. As the fifth seed in the RRAC Tournament, they placed third, reaching the semifinals for the second time in head coach Shannon Gower’s three-year tenure.
