FORT WORTH, TX: Texas Wesleyan University head men’s basketball coach Terry Waldrop announced today the signing of Kennith Gober, a 6’2” guard from Trinity Valley Community College.
“Kennith is a very sought after combo-guard,” said Coach Waldrop. “We are very excited about adding him to the team, and we think he will fit into our program very well.”
Gober was an All-Texas Eastern Conference selection for head coach Pat Smith’s Cardinals last season, leading TVCC to 18 wins.
Gober also played for Lonnie Gaylor at Waxahachie High School where he was a three-time All-District Selection. He was named District MVP and 2nd-team All-State as a senior.
After winning the 2006 NAIA Division I National Championship, Texas Wesleyan posted a 19-10 record and were ranked 33rd nationally at the end of the 2006-07 season.
