FORT WORTH, TX: Texas Wesleyan University head men’s basketball coach Terry Waldrop announced today the signing of Arlington Summit High School standout Evan Randall.
Randall, a 5’8” guard, was named 1st-team All-District and Academic All-State after ranking among the 5A leaders in the Metroplex with 6.1 assists per game.
This season he led his Summit Jaguars to the 5A Regional final where they lost to the eventual state champion, Duncanville.
“I have known Evan for a number of years,” Coach Waldrop commented. “He fits perfectly into what Texas Wesleyan is all about; character, excellence in academics, and he is a very good basketball player as well. He is someone that will leave a big mark on the record books for four years at Texas Wesleyan. He is another guy who will be an immediate impact player.”
After winning the 2006 NAIA Division I National Championship, Texas Wesleyan posted a 19-10 record and was ranked 33rd nationally at the end of the 2006-07 season.
