RAMS FINISH SIXTH AT THE TERRITORY |
DUNCAN, OK: The Texas Wesleyan University men’s golf team completed play at The Territory Classic on Tuesday. The event, hosted by Cameron University at The Territory Golf Club, consisted of 36 holes.
Cameron University won the tournament by following an opening round of 291 with a round of 278. After an opening round of 70, St. Edward’s University’s Nick Cristea shot a final round of 69 to take the individual title by one stroke over Cameron’s Peter Svajlen.
The Rams moved from eighth to sixth in the tournament field with a final round of 294. Ryan Stephens led the comeback by firing a card of 70. Mitch Hendon followed at 73, KeeDae Lee 74, and Dan Hahn and Kevin Doskocil each shot 77.
Stephens’ 70 vaulted him to his first top-ten of the season. His total of 145 was good for a tie for ninth. Lee and Hendon finished tied for 17th at 149. Hahn finished 39th (153), and Doskocil finished 52nd (156).
