HANSEN EARNS 2ND RRAC P.O.W. AWARD

WACO, TX:  Texas Wesleyan goalkeeper Thomas Hansen has been selected as the Red River Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the period of September 18-24.  It is the second selection for Hansen this season.

Hansen, a senior from Haltom City, TX, sealed off the net in TWU’s first conference match of the season and held College of the Southwest (NM) scoreless through two overtime periods.  The game marked his third shutout in just five matches this season.  He made six saves against six shots on goal to preserve the shutout for 110 minutes.

Texas Wesleyan moved to 1-2-2 on the season and 0-0-1 in conference play.  The Rams will return to action this weekend when they host a pair of matches.  They will play Huston-Tillotson on Friday at 5:00 and will take on Northwood on Saturday following the Lady Rams home opener which is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
