PHOENIX, AZ: The Texas Wesleyan University men’s golf team fired two solid rounds in the opening day of the Grand Canyon Fall Invitational on Monday. The Rams currently sit in 9th place with one round left to play on Tuesday.
Abilene Christian University leads the pack at 567, while four players are tied for the individual lead at 137.
Texas Wesleyan followed a round of 289 with a round of 294. They are just eight strokes out of the top five at a combined 583. Kevin Doskocil is the only Ram in the top twenty. His card of 143 was good for 18th position. Meanwhile Mitch Hendon shot 147, Will Woodring 147, Ryan Stephens 148, and KeeDae Lee 149.
The Rams will play the final 18 holes of the Grand Canyon Fall Invitational on Tuesday. The event is being hosted by Grand Canyon University at Estrella Mountain Ranch.
