OKLAHOMA CITY, OK: The Texas Wesleyan University men’s soccer team (2-4-2) suffered a 2-0 loss at Oklahoma City University (6-1-2) on Monday.
The Rams allowed just six shots on goal, and Thomas Hansen made four saves to keep his team in the contest.
Oklahoma City’s Tyler Vaughn scored the game’s first goal in the 26th minute. The Stars nursed that narrow margin for most of the game. In the 87th minute Austin Felice scored to give OCU a 2-0 margin.
“They were a very good team, and we just didn’t finish the couple of chances that we got,” said head coach Josh Gibbs.”
The Rams return to action on Thursday when they travel to Wichita Falls, TX, to take on Midwestern State University. That match is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. and will be preceded by a women’s game.”
