TWU FINISHES 8th AT GRAND CANYON

PHOENIX, AZ:  The Texas Wesleyan University men’s golf team moved up one spot to eighth on the leader board in the final round of the Grand Canyon Fall Classic at Estrella Mountain.

Abilene Christian fell from first to third as CSU-Stanislaus shot a final round 278 to charge to the title with an overall score of 846.  CSU-Bakersfield’s Brady Paguino took the individual title at 206.

Will Woodring and Ryan Stephens led the way for the Rams who put together their strongest round of the tournament on Tuesday at 288.  Woodring and Stephens each shot 71.  Mitch Hendon and KeeDae Lee shot 73, and Kevin Doskocil shot 79.

The Rams will be back in action, October 16-17, at the Rattler Invitational in San Antonio, TX.
