WICHITA FALLS, TX: The Texas Wesleyan University women’s soccer team fell to 3-6 on the season after suffering a 2-0 loss at NCAA Division II Midwestern State University (6-5-1).
Lady Ram goalkeeper Brittany O’Brien kept her team alive with an outstanding 16 save performance, but the Rams could not overcome the barrage of 31 shots from the Mustangs.
Midwestern State’s Megan Bibilone scored in the 14th minute and the Mustangs held a 1-0 edge at halftime. In the 59th minute, Katy Lukert made it 2-0. Heather Primavera needed just two saves to preserve the save for MWSU. The Lady Rams will travel to East Texas Baptist on Friday, October 13, for a tuneup before getting back to conference play. They will take on Texas College in an RRAC match on Saturday. Friday’s contest is set for a 6:00 p.m. start. |
