THREE LADY RAMS NAMED ALL-RRAC |
FORT WORTH, TX: The Red River Athletic Conference has released its All-Conference Volleyball team and three Texas Wesleyan University Lady Rams were among those honored.
Sandra Ayala and Liz Meng were named to the 1st-team while Jessica Colliau was named 2nd-team.
Ayala, a junior from Cedar Hill, TX, was a two-time RRAC Player of the Week this season and also earned Region VI Player of the Week honors. She led the team and the conference with 396 kills, and her 4.0 kills per game ranked 26th nationally.
Meng, a sophomore from Weatherford, TX, also earned an RRAC Player of the Week award this season. In addition, her .372 hitting percentage ranks 11th in the nation. She also ranks in the nation’s top-40 in blocks per game (1.0) and kills per game (3.7).
Colliau, a senior Kaufman, TX, led the Lad Rams defensively. She turned in a career high 307 digs. Her 3.8 digs per game also led the team. Alaya, Meng, and Colliau led the Lady Rams to their fifth consecutive 20 win season with a record of 20-10 overall. |
