FORT WORTH, TX: The NAIA has announced its 2006 Daktronics Volleyball Scholar Athletes. Texas Wesleyan University’s Ashley Mock was among those honored. To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be nominated by her head coach, be a junior or above in academic standing and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.
Mock, a junior from Azle, TX, is the 11th member of the Lady Rams Volleyball program to receive the award.
This season, Mock helped the Lady Rams to a 20-10 record and an appearance in the Red River Athletic conference semifinals. She led the team with 352 digs while ranking second with 271 assists, and was twice named RRAC Setter of the Week.
