FOWLER NAMED ALL-AMERICAN

FORT WORTH, TX:  The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced its selections for the 2006 NAIA Women's Soccer All-American teams, as selected by the NAIA Women's Soccer All-American Selection Committee.  Texas Wesleyan University’s Heather Fowler was among those honored.

Fowler, a senior from Leander, TX, was named Honorable Mention All-American, becoming just the 4th member of the Lady Rams Women’s Soccer program to be so honored.

Fowler, a team captain, led the Rams to their second consecutive Red River Athletic Conference Championship this season.  A four-time All-Conference selection, she ranked 24th nationally in goals per game and 25th in points per game with 11 goals and 27 points in 16 games this season.

Texas Wesleyan finished an incredibly tough schedule with a 9-8 record overall, 5-1 in conference play.  They won their second RRAC Championship, and hosted a Region VI Tournament game for the first time in program history.
