RACHUIG NAMED P.O.W: RAMS POSTPONED TO WEDNESDAY |
FORT WORTH, TX: Texas Wesleyan University’s Jayson Rachuig has been selected as the Red River Athletic Conference baseball Pitcher of the Week for the period of February 4-10.
Rachuig, a senior right-hander from Fort Worth, TX, tossed 6.2 scoreless innings as the Rams won, 7-0, over Lubbock Christian University (TX). He held the NAIA’s 7th ranked team to just four hits and two walks after LCU had been averaging 13 runs per game in its first seven contests. Rachuig struck out one batter as the Rams moved to 2-3 on the season. Texas Wesleyan’s contest with the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor scheduled for this afternoon has been moved to Wednesday. The Rams and Cru will play one nine inning contest beginning at 2:00 p.m. in Belton, TX. |
