FIVE LADY RAMS NAMED ALL-RRAC

FORT WORTH, TX:  Five members of the Texas Wesleyan University women’s basketball team were named to the All-Red River Athletic Conference team.

Brittany Turner was Texas Wesleyan’s lone 1st-team selection.  Turner leads the Lady Rams in rebounding, 6.9 rpg, blocks, 16, field goal shooting, .479, and ranks second in scoring 10.5.

Kim Gatlin and Moneke Smallwood were both named to the 2nd-team.  Gatlin is the team’s leading scorer at 11.6 ppg.  Smallwood has posted a team-best 106 assists in 30 games while averaging 9.7 points per game.

Brittany Davenport and Andria Mitchel were both Honorable mention selections.

The Lady Rams have advanced to tonight’s RRAC semifinals.  The third seeded Rams will meet the second seed, Wiley College, in SAGU’s Full Life Center at 8:00 p.m.
