FORT WORTH, TX: Texas Wesleyan University’s Steven DeFratus has been named Red River Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week for the period of April 7-13, marking his third consecutive award. DeFratus, a senior right-hander from Oxnard, CA, claimed a 6-0 win against Northwood University (TX) in his only appearance of the week. He scattered seven hits across seven innings with five strikeouts and no walks. It was DeFratus’ third consecutive complete game shutout. The Rams advanced to a 30-11 mark overall, and remained atop the RRAC North Division with a record of 11-1. The 17th ranked Rams will play at #5 Oklahoma City University this afternoon. That game is scheduled for a 4:00 p.m. first pitch. |
