Parks, a junior defender from Mansfield, TX, led the defensive charge in a 2-1 week for the Lady Rams. In Texas Wesleyan’s victories over Mid-America Christian University (OK) and the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (TX), she combined with her teammates to allow just 11 shots on goal. The University of Texas-Brownsville’s Lena Canida garnered this week’s offensive award after scoring three goals in a 2-2 week for the Scorpions. Texas Wesleyan stands at 2-3-2 on the season. They will travel to Canyon, TX, to take on West Texas A&M University on Wednesday. That game is scheduled for a 4:30 p.m. start and will be preceded by a men’s game. |
