CANYON, TX: The Texas Wesleyan University women’s soccer team (2-4-2) suffered a 6-0 defeat at the hands of West Texas A&M University (5-1) on Wednesday.
The Buffalo put the game out of reach early, getting goals in the 7th, 8th, 11th, and 14th minutes on their way to a 5-0 lead at halftime. West Texas added a sixth goal in the waning minutes of the contest.
Jenelle Nedd led the offensive attack with a goal and two assists. Miriam Dominguez added a goal and an assist.
Lisha Jungmann and Sarah Pipkin combined to make six saves in the shutout.
The Rams will return to action on Friday when they host St. Gregory’s University in the friendly confines of Martin Field. That game is scheduled for a 3:00 p.m. start and will be followed by a men’s game.
