RAMS ROLL TO WIN OVER SAINTS

FORT WORTH, TX: The Texas Wesleyan University volleyball team won a match over Our Lady of the Lake University three games to none.

The Lady Rams got off to a slow start in game one but pulled out a 30-28 win. In the second and third games the Lady Rams pulled away winning the 30-16, and 30-26.

Sandra Ayala led the team with 11 kills in the match.  Ashley Mock led the team with 9 digs.  Evoni Darling led the team with 26 assists.  Brittany Person finished with 3 aces.

Head Coach Christy Clawson said her team is staying consistent, “ We’re playing more consistent as a team. Our freshman are stepping up, and being more cohesive.”

The Lady Rams improved to 13-8, while OLLU fell to 1-9. The game that was set for 7:00 p.m. against Wiley College was rescheduled due to transportation problems. That game will be played at Wiley on Tuesday, September 25.  The game scheduled at Wiley on October 17, has been moved to Fort Worth.

The Lady Rams next home game will be on Tuesday, October 9 against Paul Quinn College. Game time is at 7:00 p.m. at the Sid Richardson Center.
