FORT WORTH, TX: The Texas Wesleyan University volleyball team improved to 19-9 overall and 6-0 in conference play with a win over Red River Athletic Conference opponent Paul Quinn College (2-7, 2-4 RRAC).
The Lady Rams dominated the court taking the match 3-0. Head coach Christy Clawson said her team is reaching goals, “ We did everything we wanted to do tonight. We eliminated a lot of errors, something we haven’t been able to do. We haven’t peaked yet,” says Clawson. “Hopefully we will between Conference and Regionals.”
Leaders from the match were Evoni Darling with 38 assists. Erinn Miller came up with 12 kills and 4 aces. Brittney Person tallied 9 kills in the win. The Lady Rams travel to Houston, TX, to take on Oklahoma City University and the University of Saint Thomas Houston on Friday October 12, at 3:00 and 7:00 p.m. respectively at the Husky Classic. |
