Liz Meng played an amazing game tonight, adding to her already glamorous resume. Meng put down 22 kills, 22 digs, and 6 block assists in the win. Sandra Ayala and Erinn Miller both posted double-doubles in the match. Ayala tallied 12 kills, 11 digs, while Miller had 12 kills, 15 digs. Ashley Mock made 29 digs in the match and Evoni Darling had 47 assists.
Head Coach Christy Clawson praised her seniors saying, “The seniors played very well tonight. When we struggled, they didn’t panic or get frazzled. They took control of the game, fixed what needed to be fixed, and we were able to come away with a strong win.”
The Lady Rams hit the road to play Austin College and UT-Tyler on Friday, October 26, at the Southwestern University Tournament in Georgetown, TX. Those games will be at 2:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. |
FORT WORTH, TX: The Texas Wesleyan University volleyball team (25-11) defeated Southern Nazarene University (10-21) 3-1 on Senior Night (30-25, 26-30, 30-17, and 30-27). 
The four seniors that played their last regular season home game as Lady Rams were; Mock, Miller, Ayala, and Meng. Mock holds the school record for digs with 51. Miller has averaged 10.6 kills and 8.6 digs a match this season. Ayala has recorded 20 double-doubles this season giving her 40 in her career. She is averaging 12.5 kills and 12.3 digs per match this season. Meng has recorded career highs with 382 kills and 103 blocks while adding another dimension to her game with 370 digs.
