LADY RAMS SPLIT AT SOUTHWESTERN

GEORGETOWN, TX:  The Texas Wesleyan University volleyball team (26-12) split a pair of matches at the Southwestern University Tournament on Friday.  The Rams fell 3-1 to Austin College before topping UT-Tyler 3-0.

In the first match, the Roos, ranked third in NCAA Division III South Region, won with scores of 30-27, 26-30, 30-27, and 30-26.  Liz Meng led the Rams with 16 kills while Kristine Downs had 13 kills and Sandra Ayala has 12.

Against UT-Tyler, the Rams breezed to the 3-0 win with scores of 30-18, 30-13, 30-16.  Meng posted 15 kills.  Ayala had 12 kills and Erinn Miller finished with 7.
