TURNER EARNS 2nd RRAC P.O.W. AWARD

FORT WORTH, TX:  For the second time this season, Texas Wesleyan University’s Brittany Turner has been selected as the Red River Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.

Turner, a junior center from Dallas, TX, stood out by posting a double-double in the Lady Rams’ only game of the week, an 80-65 victory over St. Gregory’s University (OK).  In that contest, she scored 22 points on 10-of-15 shooting form the field while grabbing 16 rebounds.  Turner also chipped in two assists and two blocks as she raised her season averages to 11.0 points and 8.2 rebounds per game.

The Lady Rams, who stand at 5-4 on the season, return to action tonight, when they host 2-3 LSU-Shreveport.  That game is scheduled for a 5:30 p.m. tip-off in the Sid Richardson Center.
