O'BRIEN NAMED ALL-REGION

FORT WORTH, TX:  Texas Wesleyan University’s Brittany O’Brien earned NAIA All-Region VI honors for her performance this season.  The goalkeeper, who was also named 1st-team All-Red River Athletic Conference, was a 2nd-team All-Region selection.

O’Brien, a junior from Colleyville, TX, posted a 7-5-2 record while notching 91 saves and a goals against average of just 1.54.  She also recorded three shutouts, giving her six in her two-year career at Texas Wesleyan.  In two season she holds a record of 16-12-2 with a goals against average of a paltry 1.31.

“Brittany is a great goalkeeper,” commented head coach Josh Gibbs.  “I believe her to be at the top of our conference, and certainly in our region.  We are very proud of her and her accomplishments.”

The Lady Rams who have won two of the last three Red River Athletic Conference championships, finished at 8-7-3 this season.  They featured six All-Conference players including three seniors.
