MOORE, OK: The Texas Wesleyan University women’s basketball team improved to 8-4 on the season with a 67-47 win at Hillsdale Free Will Baptist College (10-3).
The Rams did most of their damage in the second half after holding a slim 32-28 lead at halftime. For the game, Texas Wesleyan shot 42% from the field while holding Hillsdale to just 29.8%. The Lady Rams also netted 28 points off of 25 Hillsdale turnovers. Moneke Smallwood matched her career-high with 19 points. Smallwood scored 19 in the Lady Rams season opening 66-59 win over Hillsdale as well. Kim Gatlin added 17 points while Brittany Turner posted 13 points and seven rebounds. The Lady Rams will break until after Christmas. Their next contest will be at Oklahoma Christian University on December 28. That game is scheduled for a 6:00 p.m. tip-off in Edmond, OK. |
