RAMS IN 8th AT BEARKAT CLASSIC

HUNTSVILLE, TX:  The Texas Wesleyan University men’s golf team is in eight place through two rounds at Sam Houston State University’s Bearcat Classic.

Stephen F. Austin State University leads the field, which includes seven NCAA Division I squads, with a total score of 563, while Sam Houston’s Caleb Lemoran leads all individuals at 137 (68, 69).

Texas Wesleyan turned in a first round 304 before coming on in the second round with a card of 293 for a total score of 597.

Kevin Doskocil paced the Rams with a card of 144 (75, 69) to sit in a tie for twelfth.  Paco Saracho is at 146 (71, 75).  Drew Koonce shot 154 (81, 73).  Tyler Fernadez shot 156 (80, 76), and Jeff Lamoureux shot 157 (78, 79) to round out the Rams scores.

The Rams will complete third round action at Elkins Lake on Tuesday.
