FORT WORTH, TX: For the seventh time this season, Texas Wesleyan University Katlynn Romig has been named Red River Athletic Conference Volleyball Libero of the Week. Romig took the award for the period of October 20-26.
Romig, a freshman defender from Mansfield, TX, made the most of her only match of the week by contributing 24 digs in Texas Wesleyan’s hard-fought 3-2 loss to Southern Nazarene University (OK). She committed just one receiving error in 35 chances and chipped in two service aces. The Lady Rams are 6-2 in the RRAC with a record of 8-23 overall.
Kelani Keoho of Southwestern Assemblies of God University (TX) was named Player of the Week. Samantha Mendez of Huston-Tillotson University (TX) was named RRAC Hitter of the Week, and SAGU's Rachel Brown earned the RRAC Setter of the Week award.
The Lady Rams return to action tonight as they travel to Dallas, TX, to take on Paul Quinn College in RRAC action. That match is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start. |
