LADY RAMS SPLIT IN GEORGETOWN |
Box Score vs. Southwestern Box Score vs. University of Dallas GEORGETOWN, TX: The Texas Wesleyan University volleyball team (10-24) split a pair of matches at the Southwestern University tournament on Friday. The Lady Rams, winners of six of their last nine, lost a tough 3-1 match to Southwestern University before taking a 3-1 win over the University of Dallas.
In the opening match, the Rams jumped ahead with a 26-24 win in game one. The Pirates took control by winning games two and three by scores of 25-18 and 25-25. The Rams pushed the host team to the limit in game four but fell 25-20.
Against the University of Dallas, the Rams once again took the opening game, this time 25-20. They then won game two easily, 25-12. Dallas fought back to take game three 25-23, but the Rams finished the match off with a decisive 25-15 win in game four.
Texas Wesleyan will play the University of St. Thomas-Houston (4:00 p.m.) and Southwestern (6:00 p.m.) on Saturday. |
