GEORGETOWN, TX: The Texas Wesleyan University (10-25) suffered a tough 3-2 loss to the University of St. Thomas-Houston at the Southwestern University Halloween tournament on Saturday.
For the fourth consecutive match, the Lady Rams took game one, this time by a score of 25-23. The Celts came back to win games two and three by identical 25-23 scores.
The match got even tighter as the Lady Rams took a 26-24 win in game four. Game five was another two point decision with St. Thomas winning 15-13.
Texas Wesleyan’s match with Southwestern scheduled for Saturday night was canceled due to the duration of the St. Thomas match.
The Lady Rams will return to action on Tuesday, when they host Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Red River Athletic Conference action. That match is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start. |
